Saturdays 1.00pm - 3.30pm
11 Aug 2018 - 18 Aug 2018
16 Oct 2018 - 23 Nov 2018

This 2 session class will teach you all the basics of glass fusing and slumping, including, design principles, kiln temperatures to achieve various slumping and fusing results, introduction to metal inclusions, use of molds and forms, and the nature of fusible glass products.

No previous experience in glass cutting is necessary, we'll teach you how to do that as well.

During this class you will create and take home two creations of your own design. With a bit of imagination and practice you'll be making amazing colourful glass items for your home and gifts for all occasions. Your friends won't believe you made them.

  • Cost  $275, which includes 2 weeks tuition, kiln firings and sufficient glass to create two projects.
  • You Will Need  A quality oil-filled glass cutter and grozing pliers, which are available here at our workshop at a cost of $80.
  • All students must wear enclosed footwear.  We will supply eye protection and dust masks as required but you're welcome to bring your own if you wish.
